What is Super COD?

Super COD is a Shopify app that lets you accept Cash on Delivery (COD) orders through a beautiful, customizable form. Perfect for Indian e-commerce stores, Super COD includes:

⚙️ Complete Setup Guide

1Install Super COD

  1. Visit the Shopify App Store
  2. Click "Add app" and approve the permissions
  3. You'll be redirected to the Super COD dashboard
  4. Your 30-day free trial starts automatically!

2Enable Theme App Embed

Important: You must enable the app embed for the COD button to appear on your store.
  1. Go to Online Store → Themes in your Shopify admin
  2. Click Customize on your active theme
  3. In the theme editor, click the App embeds icon (puzzle piece)
  4. Find "Super COD" and toggle it ON
  5. Click Save

3Add COD Button to Product Pages

There are two ways to add the COD button:

Option A: Using Theme Blocks (Recommended)

  1. In the theme editor, navigate to a Product page
  2. Click Add block in the product template
  3. Under "Apps", select "Super COD Button"
  4. Drag the block to your desired position (below Add to Cart is recommended)
  5. Click Save

Option B: Manual Installation

Add this code to your product template where you want the button to appear:

4Customize Your Form

  1. Go to Form Builder in the Super COD dashboard
  2. Enable/disable fields you want to collect
  3. Click Save Settings

5Customize Appearance

  1. Go to Appearance in the Super COD dashboard
  2. Customize colors, fonts, and button styles
  3. Preview changes in real-time
  4. Click Save

6Test Your Setup

  1. Visit a product page on your store
  2. Click the "Order via COD" button
  3. Fill out the form with test data
  4. Submit the order
  5. Check Orders → Drafts in Shopify admin to see the created order

Hide Default "Add to Cart"

If you want COD-only checkout, hide the Add to Cart button with CSS:

Multi-Language Support

Customize field labels and error messages in your language:

  1. Go to Translations in the Super COD dashboard
  2. Edit field labels (Name, Phone, Address, etc.)
  3. Customize error messages
  4. Click Save

🔧 Troubleshooting

❌ COD button not appearing on product pages
Solution:
  1. Verify the app embed is enabled: Themes → Customize → App embeds → Super COD (ON)
  2. Check if you've added the "Super COD Button" block to your product template
  3. Clear your browser cache and refresh the page
  4. Try viewing in an incognito/private window
❌ Pincode validation not working
Solution:
  • Ensure you're using valid 6-digit Indian pincodes (e.g., 110001)
  • The India Post API may be temporarily unavailable - try again in a few minutes
  • If a pincode is blocked, check your whitelist/blacklist settings in Validation & Rules
❌ Orders not appearing in Shopify admin
Solution:
  1. Check Orders → Drafts (not just Orders)
  2. Look for orders tagged with "Super-COD-App"
  3. Verify your trial hasn't expired (check Dashboard for trial status)
  4. Check the browser console for any JavaScript errors
❌ Pixel events not firing
Solution:
  1. Verify your Pixel IDs are correct in Pixel & Tracking
  2. Check that pixels are enabled (toggle switches are ON)
  3. Use Facebook Pixel Helper or Google Tag Assistant browser extensions to debug
  4. Open browser DevTools → Console and look for Super COD pixel logs
❌ Form styling looks broken
Solution:
  1. Check if your theme has conflicting CSS that overrides Super COD styles
  2. Reset appearance settings to defaults in Appearance → Reset to Defaults
  3. Try adjusting modal width and border radius values
  4. Disable browser extensions that might interfere with styling
❌ Trial expired - how to upgrade?
Solution:
  1. Go to Pricing in the Super COD dashboard
  2. Click Upgrade Now on the Growth plan
  3. Approve the charge in Shopify
  4. Your COD form will be re-enabled immediately

How much does Super COD cost?
Super COD offers a 30-day free trial with full access to all features. After the trial, it's ₹499 per month with unlimited COD submissions. No hidden fees or commissions.
Do I need coding skills to use Super COD?
No! Super COD is designed for merchants with zero coding knowledge. Just enable the app embed, add the COD button block to your theme, and customize settings from the dashboard.
Does Super COD work with all Shopify themes?
Yes! Super COD works with all Shopify 2.0 themes and most older themes. The app uses standard Shopify app blocks and embeds for seamless integration.
Can I customize the COD form design?
Absolutely! You can customize colors, fonts, button styles, modal width, border radius, and more from the Appearance page. Make it match your brand perfectly.
How does pincode validation work?
Super COD uses the India Post API to validate pincodes in real-time. When a customer enters a pincode, we automatically fetch the city and state. You can also set whitelist/blacklist rules to control which areas you deliver to.
What are draft orders vs. confirmed orders?
Draft orders (default) are created in Shopify's draft section for manual review before confirming. Confirmed orders are automatically created as regular orders. You can change this setting based on your workflow.
Can I track COD conversions in Facebook Ads?
Yes! Super COD integrates with Facebook Pixel to track InitiateCheckout (when form opens) and Purchase (when order is placed) events. Just add your Pixel ID in Pixel & Tracking.
Does Super COD support Google Analytics?
Yes! Super COD supports both Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and Google Ads. It tracks begin_checkout and purchase events with full e-commerce data.
Can I set minimum order value for COD?
Yes! Go to Validation & Rules and set minimum/maximum order amounts. Customers will see a friendly error if their order doesn't meet the criteria.
How do I block specific pincodes?
Go to Validation & Rules and add pincodes to the blacklist (comma-separated, e.g., "110001, 400001"). You can also use a whitelist to only allow specific pincodes.
Can I offer COD on some products but not others?
Yes! You can manually add the COD button to specific product templates, or use Shopify's theme customization to show/hide the button based on product tags or collections.
Is customer data secure?
Absolutely! Super COD does NOT store customer PII (names, phones, addresses) in our database. Customer data is only sent to Shopify for order creation and is subject to Shopify's privacy policy. We're fully GDPR compliant.
Can I export COD orders?
Yes! All COD orders are regular Shopify orders (or drafts) tagged with "Super-COD-App". You can export them from Shopify admin or use any third-party analytics tool.
What happens if I uninstall the app?
All your merchant settings are deleted automatically (GDPR compliance). Your existing Shopify orders remain intact. You can reinstall anytime and start a new trial.
Do you offer refunds?
We offer a 30-day free trial so you can test all features risk-free. If you have any issues, contact our support team and we'll help resolve them or issue a refund within 7 days of your first charge.
